Uses of various tissue paper

1. Toilet paper and paper towels are different

Among household paper, toilet paper specifically refers to toilet paper, paper towels include facial tissue (including boxed and plastic-wrapped soft tissues), napkins paper, and paper handkerchiefs, and wiping paper includes hand towels and kitchen paper, etc.

PS: Napkins, facial tissues, and handkerchiefs are all paper towels. What is the difference between them?

Generally speaking, the hygiene standards of paper towels are consistent. The uses of napkins, facial tissues, and handkerchiefs are almost the same, and there is no difference. If there is, it is only the difference in folding, packaging, and occasions of use. For example, boxed paper towels are generally used at home and in the office, while small packages of paper towels are often used when going out, which we usually call napkins.

2. Comparison of the quality of toilet paper and paper towels

From the perspective of pulp raw materials, toilet paper and hand towels can use waste paper raw materials, that is, recycled paper, while paper towels and kitchen paper must use virgin pulp.

From the perspective of hygiene standards, i.e. microbiological indicators, toilet paper and hand towels are not as strict as paper towels and kitchen paper. For example, the total number of bacterial colonies in the former must not exceed 600 per gram of paper, while the latter must not exceed 200. Moreover, the production workshops of paper towels and kitchen paper must be disinfected and isolated according to the standards for disposable sanitary products, while there are no special requirements for toilet paper and hand towels.
